"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." -2 Chronicles 7:14

About Me

Hi! My name is Bethany :)

The first thing you should know about me is that I am a born again child of God.  Jesus Christ is my personal Saviour and I am saved by His grace!
The next thing you should know is that I'm a self-proclaimed teenage political prodigy :) well, sort of.  I'm a Conservative, Christian teenager, a combination you don't find too often.

I've always loved history, but I developed an interest for politics and the government system during the 2008 elections.  I was never really interested or involved before that.  After campaigning for Senator John McCain and Governor Sarah Palin during the election, I realized that I really liked politics and campaigning; it wasn't just something I did during that election.  I wanted to get even more involved!
Since then I've kept up with politics of all kinds: local, state, and national.

None of my family has such a love and interest for politics as I do, so I don't really know where my interest comes from.  Maybe it's because I'm related to the eighth president of the United States.  Maybe politics is just in my blood :)

I am a straight-A student and have hopes of one day getting involved in the government.  I hope to major in international relations and minor in language, probably Hebrew or Greek.  I can speak English, Spanish, and Polish and am currently learning Arabic and Mandarin Chinese as well.  Military, national security, and the government system are some of the areas that interest me the most.
I created this blog in order to help other teens understand what politics is really about.  The way that most teens see politics causes them to look at it as something boring.  But if that doesn't change soon, the future of our nation's leadership could be in jeopardy.  I don't want to see that happen, and I'm sure you don't, either!
